UK Trans Info are able to provide advice with practical problems such as access to healthcare and legal issues. We can guide you towards information you need and on occasion we can (with your consent) contact organisations on your behalf to resolve issues.

Get Help in an Emergency

Always call 999 if someone's life is at risk, you need an ambulance urgently, someone is being threatened or at risk of getting injured, or when a crime is in progress.

Get Help with Domestic Abuse

Broken Rainbow provide confidential support to all members of the LGBT communities, their family, friends, and agencies supporting them. The helpline is run by trained LGBT people and provides a space where you can talk through what is going on, and explore your options. You can contact them whenever they are open, but on Tuesday afternoons the helpline is staffed entirely by people who identify as trans.

Get Help with Hate Crime

Get Help with Money, Benefits, Food, Heating and Other Essentials

If you have no or low income then you may be entitled to benefits. Visit the Turn2Us Benefit Calculator for help working out if you are entitled to anything.

If you are in a crisis situation with no access to money and need help with food, heating or other essential goods then your local welfare assistance scheme should be able to help you or tell you who can help. Find your local scheme on this map.

Get Help with Binders and Other Transition Aids

MORF run a scheme to redistribute free binders all over the UK, and all you pay is postage. More details of their scheme is on their website.

GenderJam NI run a scheme to distribute transition aids to young trans people in Northern Ireland. They accept donations of new and used chest binders, new or lightly used breast forms, new STP and packer devices, and most other transition aids. More details are on their website.
