These Regulations create and control the Gender Recognition Register in Scotland. This register is used to produce new birth certificates for those who have a full Gender Recognition Certificate.

Explanatory Notes

These Regulations prescribe the particulars in relation to the person’s birth and other matters which must be contained in an entry in the Gender Recognition Register maintained under paragraph 13(1) of Schedule 3 to the Gender Recognition Act 2004.
